7/24/09 from TEA:  Watch for message when the newly adopted TEKS are posted in the Texas Register and available for distribution.

The newly adopted CTE TEKS are for implementation in the 2010-2011 school year.

The 2010-2011 PEIMS numbers (that will reflect the new CTE TEKS) are projected to be published and available the first week of December 2009.

TEA CTE staff are planning professional development for CTE teachers, counselors, and administrators which will be available in a variety of venues approximately between February and August 2010.  You will receive more information about the professional development for CTE TEKS Implementation as dates and sites are finalized.

TEA CTE will also post resources on their website as they are available.  Click here to find the information that’s currently available..

TEA staff are working on CTE TEKS implementation and professional development plans; as more information is available, it will be posted on the TEA website and TIVA's website.   It will also be sent through the TEA CTE listserv.
