2(a) and applies only to classroom teachers, full-time librarians, full-time counselors and full-time nurses (RN). In no instance may a school district pay classroom teachers, full-time librarians, full-time counselors or full-time nurses (RN) less than the state base salary listed for that individual's years of experience.

Texas Education Code specifies that an educator employed under a 10-month contract must provide a minimum of 187 days of service.
