Killeen ISD Opens CTE Center This August
2/16/12: A new facility will offer Fort Hood and Killeen high school students more hands-on experience to prepare them for a variety of careers. When it is completed this summer, the Killeen ISD's Career and Technical Education Center will provide a central location for programs and equipment now spread among several schools. The CTE will offer programs such as audio/visual technology, automotive, health science, nursing, cosmetology and welding. Here's the link to the news clip:
STAAR 15% Grading Requirement Deferred
2/17/12: Commissioner of education Robert Scott announced today that he is deferring implementation of the new 15 percent grading requirement connected to the State of Texas Assessments of Academic readiness end-of-course examinations. Click here to read the press release for details.
