Texas Dominated Milken Institute List of Top Cities for Jobs
10/18/10: Texas cities make up an unprecedented 11 of the top 25 metropolitan areas ranked in the Milken Institute’s Best-Performing Cities Index, which evaluates the metro areas best able to create and sustain jobs. 9/28/10: This morning ACTE Executive Director Jan Bray was interviewed about CTE by co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on The Today Show. Jan Bray emphasized how CTE provides students with the academic and technical skills that students need for any career. She also referenced how parents have a misperception of CTE and how it has changed.

Career Clusters Integral Focus of Killeen ISD New Career Academy Planning
Aug. 26 - The Killeen Independent School District plans to open a new Career Academy fall 2010, which will include courses in health science, information technology and arts, audio/visual technology and communications, agriculture, food and natural resources, fire academy, cosmetology, welding, constructionn and automotive technology.
