Pauken, a former Reagan White House staffer who was appointed chairman of the Workforce Commission by Gov. Rick Perry in 2008, is turning his focus to working with Texas legislative leaders on education. His ideas bear serious consideration.

Graduation requirement revisions open for comment

Proposed revisions to the state graduation requirements  are now posted in the Texas Register and are available for public comment. The proposed amendments would update requirements for school districts to align with recently passed legislation. The State Board of Education will consider the amendments at is Jan. 25-27 meeting.
